Hi! Thanks for visiting ReneeRiva.com for inspirational,
fun, family stories ...
The novel, “Saving Sailor” is the first in a trilogy,
best for ages 12-100. This is a great family story from the 1960’s, about a ten year old girl, her dog, and her
family of seven who are vacationing on an island in Idaho. If you enjoy humor, family, and pets, you will probably enjoy
this story. (Based on a true story, sort of...)
All of my books are available from your favorite booksellers,
both in retail stores and on-line.
Taking Tuscany Sequel to Saving Sailor
Book two in the Saving Sailor trilogy. Spend a
whole year in Tuscany with the entertaining Degulio family. What could be more fun than inheriting a crumbling castle on a
hill with a cracked swimming pool? Or having your mother put on a mock Winter Olympics for the entire neighborhood--until
A.J.'s sled hits that jump going a little too fast.... It's the perfect story to curl up with
in front of a warm fire on a cold night ... 14 year-old A.J. may not agree that it's the perfect story, however.
She's had to move away from her beloved Indian Island and her dog, Sailor --not to mention her best friend, Danny Morgan. A.J. ends up half way around the world in Tuscany,
Italy. And, she is far from thrilled about it. Thank goodness for Ceasar the horse, Napoleon the dog, and a few interesting
characters living in the hills near her villa. Between nutty relatives and Italian culture A.J. finds some pretty humorous
ways to try and navigate her way back to the island she longs for. And she might learn a few things about life and perspective
along the way. (Based on another true story, sort of . . .) So go to your nearest bookstore or on-line bookseller, including amazon.com and pick yourself
up a copy of Taking Tuscany. It's family friendly and has something in it for everyone--including the dog!
Enjoy your year in Tuscany. Con Amore, Renee
HEADING HOME is here! Book three in
the Saving Sailor trilogy. A.J. finally makes it back to Indian Island at age 18 to attend veterinarian school...and
guess who owns the island? A.J.'s childhood friend, Danny, who is now 21 years-old, and planning to turn Indian
Island into a summer Youth Camp. But he's in for quite a surprise when he tries to convince A.J. to be part of his
plan. Through some hilarious twists and turns of fate, the once quiet island paradise turns to utter chaos when the Italians,
Greeks, and Southerners all descend upon its shores together!
